A Unique Deal at $12K
As much as I hate to part with my Camaro, I bought my home at the exact wrong time in the 2005 real estate market and need to seriously refinance - and with negative equity I have to come up with another down payment.  So, my baby must go... :(

I've invested a lot of emotion, effort and money into my Z.  Almost all work has been performed by myself and my buddies, fuled by more than a few BBQ's, beer bashes, boastful bench races - and bad-ass burnouts!

Here is all the info on the car, with full-size pictures at the end.

    All this for only $12K?!

OK, we all know there's no thing as a free lunch.  And thus, there is a reason why I'm only asking $12K for such a car:  My baby is in need of some attention (that I've been unable to give her due to money being tight).  I need to find someone who can take good care of her.  Here's what she needs:

    1) The stock OEM clutch needs to be replaced.  It's fine for driving around town in a normal manner, so the car is totally driveable as it is.  But it'll slip if too much power is put to it.  Not too conducive to slapping on some drag radials and shooting for 11's in the 1/4 mile!  The good news (as I listed above) is that I already have a McCleod clutch and pressure plate that both come with the car, but of course they need to be installed.

    2) The Supercharger needs servicing.  A while back it started to moan.  Not the normal whine of a SC, more of a deeper moaning.  I'm confident that the bearings just need to be replaced.   I did check the oil delivery plumbing and verified it's receiving plenty of oil, so there's no starvation problem.  Instead, I think the problem is that I let the car sit too long with the supercharger in one rotational position and the bearings didn't like that.

So, you can see why I'm asking such a low price.   But, if you're handy with a wrench or can see a diamond in the rough then you know this is a good opportunity.

September 1999, page 30.  Written up in an article touting 12 second cars that get ovre 20 MPG.
Even more pertinent today then back then!  A pristine copy of the magazine is included with the car.

    OZ 17" 275's Z-Rated true 3-Piece wheels

Just a little over 2k miles per year...

Gauges are custom mounted in the lower part of the Console

AS&M Headers tucked in there to let the engine breathe out nicely.
Full emissions support with EGR, etc.

A glimpse of the magic!  Nothing like 10+ psi of supercharged boost always at your... toetips!

The engine can breath in all that SC air via the 52mm BBK Throttle Body

Smart Spark, showing running RPM (1000's). Dial in your timing advance/retard for each 500 RPM increments (the device interpolates for in between RPMs). Save and restore different timing curves for different fuel, conditions, etc.
Located in the glove box and unmounted for easy on-the-fly use. One of the BEST add ons I chose..

All the time, money, work is all worth it in the end: 460 RWHP!!! I actually think there's a good 20 more HP in there...
I was conservative on the timing curves used during the different dyno pulls. That and the car was warmer by the third and best pull...

I haven't even sold her yet, but just making this web site makes me miss her terribly.  :(
If you're the right person to take her next, please, please take good care of her...!
